Hey all. It's a new year and I haven't been here for a very long time. I have no excuses...I don't have a good reason why. I could always give you a million little reasons, but that would take too much time. There's been good things and there have been so many bad things. But, I'm still here and going strong. Here's to a better, healthier and a more easy going year.
So, I will see you soon and more often. Get ready...It's going to be a roller coaster of a ride! Hold on!

FORGET-ME-NOT...
As I was making some do-dads, I came across these tiny little blue flower shaped beads. Or they could be spacers, I suppose. But, as I was looking at them, the tiny flower, Forget-Me-Not's came to mind. So, after making over 150 wire wrapped blue flowers with yellow centers, this is the bracelet that I ended up with...

Bead Soup is DONE!
What a journey! I have worked and changed my design a million times. My Bead Soup partner is Cheri Mitchell-Reed from Canton, Ohio. Her blog is CreativeDesignsbyCheri.blogspot.com. I was challenged with my ingredients. I have never worked with fibers of any kind and I don't think I have ever used a heart focal in any of my designs. Along with the heart was glass beads, silver toned chain and clasp, and a strand of Sari Silk. So...I was definitely challenged by my ingredients. Just to remind you of what Cheri sent me, see a picture below...
I sent Cherie some of my handmade lampwork beads, a lampwork focal, a selection of Czech glass beads, Greek beads, others beads and then a variety of Bali silver and Hill Tribes silver. A reminder picture is below...

My Bead Soup Blog Party Design...WELCOME!!!
7th Bead Soup Blog Party! Welcome to my blog!
I changed my design a couple of times. Here is the first idea that I had-I just didn't like the fiber along the side of the necklace. So, it had to go away.
So, I played a little more and my final design is this---
I wrapped a filigree piece around the heart to create a necklace that could be worn two ways. I used azurite beads to pick up the blue and green in the focal heart and faceted crystal quartz to accent the beads. I created 'heart' looking wire findings to connect the elements. I made a double strand from the silver tube bead up to where the chain is attached. I integrated the glass beads into a stack of bracelets. I used the fiber that Cheri wrapped around my box to create one bracelet-just wrapped the fiber and used copper wire to hold it together. There are a bunch of other pieces that make up the bunch of bracelets. It was fun, fun, fun. I so appreciate what Lori Anderson has done over the years. This was the first time that I participated in the Bead Soup Blog Party and I hope not my last. Lori deserves major kudos and praise beyond this world. I truly do appreciate her dedication and vast amounts of time that she has committed to this project. Thank you, Lori!God Bless You.
Here are the 2nd reveal guests and their sites. Please visit their blogs/facebook to see what they have created with their Bead Soup ingredients. Thank you!
